Type 2 Diabetes (T2D) is routinely described by healthcare institutions as a chronic, progressive, and incurable disease. However, this clinical pathway manages symptoms while the underlying disease steadily worsens. Why?
Because Type 2 Diabetes is primarily a disease of insulin resistance caused by chronic dietary carbohydrate overload. You cannot cure a dietary disease with pharmaceutical prescriptions; you must treat it with a dietary cure.
To understand Type 2 Diabetes, we must look at how the body handles carbohydrates. When we eat bread, rice, pasta, or sugar, they are converted into glucose in the bloodstream. The pancreas releases insulin, which acts as a key to open cells and let glucose in to be used as energy.
However, if cells are constantly exposed to high levels of glucose, they become resistant to the insulin key. The pancreas must pump out even more insulin to force the glucose inside. Over time, the liver and muscles become full, and the excess glucose is converted into fat, leading to fatty liver and ectopic fat buildup in the pancreas.
Conventional medical treatments focus entirely on lowering blood glucose. Medications like sulfonylureas force the pancreas to produce more insulin, while direct insulin injections flood the system with even higher hormonal loads.
While this successfully clears glucose from the blood, it pushes the excess sugar deeper into the tissues and organs, worsening insulin resistance and driving fat storage. The symptom (high blood sugar) is masked, but the disease (hyperinsulinemia) is exacerbated.
